The Prestigious International Hope Book Awards—PIHBA—is an international literary recognition platform founded to honor books and authors whose work carries hope, faith, healing, resilience, courage, purpose, truth, or meaningful social impact.

PIHBA welcomes independently published and traditionally published authors from the United States, Canada, and countries around the world. Authors should select the category or categories that genuinely reflect the book’s content, audience, purpose, and message.

A book does not have to be a brand-new release unless a specific category or announcement states otherwise. Previously published books may be considered when they meet the current entry requirements.

Yes. An author may select multiple relevant categories for the same book. Each selected category is a separate paid entry, but the author uploads the book once using the access code generated by the completed category order.

The current website price is $75 USD per award category. The amount shown in the secure cart at checkout is the official price for that order.

The Award Categories page displays the current PIHBA categories and allows authors to add suitable entries to the secure cart.

First choose and pay for at least one award category. After payment, PIHBA provides a category-order access code. Open the Book Submission page, enter that code with the same email address used at checkout, and then upload your manuscript and optional cover.

Verification connects the manuscript to the correct paid categories, prevents incomplete or unpaid submissions, and protects both the author and PIHBA from order-matching errors.

The secure submission form accepts a complete manuscript as a PDF, DOC, or DOCX file. The manuscript must be uploaded as one file and may be up to 20 MB.

The cover is optional in the upload form, but authors are encouraged to provide a clear front-cover image when available. Accepted cover formats and limits are shown on the submission page.

The author receives an on-screen confirmation number. PIHBA receives the submission details and files, and a secure backup is retained for the review process. Save the confirmation number for future correspondence.

Yes. The PIHBA website offers secure Stripe and PayPal checkout for eligible purchases. Payment confirmation, order details, and applicable access codes are recorded automatically.

PIHBA uses a 100-point Literary Excellence framework that considers inspirational impact, writing quality, grammar and punctuation, structure and flow, storytelling and emotional connection, originality and voice, depth and genre effectiveness, professional presentation, and lasting reader impact.

Yes. Books are considered within the expectations of their genre, entered category, intended audience, cultural context, and purpose. A children’s book, memoir, devotional, novel, and personal-growth book should not be assessed as though they are the same form.

No. The literary score is important, but final decisions may also consider category alignment, the strength and purpose of the message, emotional and inspirational impact, competing entries in the judging period, and the book’s contribution to readers.

Not by itself. A book does not need complicated or academic language to demonstrate excellence. Clear, sincere, accessible writing can be powerful and highly effective for its intended audience.

Authors who earn a PIHBA genre award or Literary Excellence recognition receive an official professionally printed certificate. Certificates are carefully prepared and mailed using the complete delivery address provided to PIHBA.

No. They are separate recognitions. The Genre Award Certificate honors the category achievement, while the Literary Excellence Certificate records the book’s evaluation recognition and excellence level.

A complete and accurate address is needed to prepare and send official printed certificates and any other physical recognition connected to the author’s confirmed order or award.

Author of the Year Finalist recognition identifies an author who has advanced through PIHBA recognition and is being considered within the applicable Author of the Year process. It is an honor, but it is not the same as being announced as an Author of the Year recipient.

No. A 2027 category-winning title becomes eligible for nomination after the March 2027 awards. Authors may nominate themselves, or be nominated by someone else, during the official nomination period. PIHBA then assesses nominations separately and announces the selected finalists. Finalist certificates are issued only after finalist selection. The 2027 Author of the Year program is planned for early November 2027.

Author of the Year category recipients remain confidential until the official live announcement. This protects the surprise, dignity, and fairness of the celebration for every finalist.

No. The recognition is earned through the PIHBA process and is not purchased. Recipients receive their official certificate, while the commemorative physical Author of the Year trophy may be ordered separately after the announcement if they would like one.

The Winners & Finalists page preserves PIHBA winner pictures, finalist recognition, President’s Choice recipients, and award announcements.

Yes. PIHBA creates original cinematic book-trailer productions for authors. The official portfolio presents PIHBA’s completed work with professional titles, book information, and playable videos.

Current packages are $200 for a 1-minute cinematic trailer, $300 for a 2-minute cinematic trailer, and $350 for a 3-minute premium cinematic trailer. Custom, longer, and documentary-style projects may require a personal quote.

Yes. Authors and customers may use the official Reviews page to submit honest feedback. Reviews are moderated before public publication, and private email addresses are never displayed.

Current PIHBA gala and festival information is published on the website. The announced Minnesota events are hosted in Bloomington near the Mall of America, with the exact venue, dates, schedule, and ticket options shown on the relevant event pages.

Yes. PIHBA welcomes authors internationally. Each traveler remains responsible for meeting passport, visa, airline, and entry requirements unless a written sponsorship or invitation states otherwise.
