Follow these six steps to enter your categories and deliver your manuscript and cover safely to PIHBA.

6CLEAR STEPSYou cannot submit a manuscript or book cover until you have selected and paid for at least one PIHBA award category. One verified category order unlocks one book submission for every category included in that order.
Complete the process in order
From category selection
to successful upload.
Complete Secure Payment
Review the categories and quantities in your cart, then complete payment through Stripe. A manuscript or cover cannot be submitted before a category payment is confirmed.
Receive Your Confirmation Code
After successful payment, PIHBA displays and emails your unique category-order code. It begins with PIHBA-CAT-. Save this code because it unlocks one book submission.
Verify Your Paid Order
Open the Book & Cover Submission page. Enter your PIHBA category-order code and the same email address you used during checkout. The system will confirm payment and display every category purchased.
Prepare Your Files
Prepare one complete manuscript as PDF, DOC, or DOCX, up to 20 MB. Your front book cover may be JPG, PNG, WEBP, or PDF, up to 5 MB.
Upload and Receive Confirmation
Complete your contact and certificate mailing details, upload the files, and keep the page open until your PIHBA submission confirmation number appears.

Check these common upload problems.
- Confirm that the payment email and verification email are identical.
- Copy the complete code beginning with PIHBA-CAT-.
- Use PDF, DOC, or DOCX for the manuscript.
- Keep the manuscript under 20 MB and the cover under 5 MB.
- Rename files simply, for example: Jane-Smith-Book-Title.pdf.
- Keep the submission page open until the confirmation number appears.
