BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA — The Prestigious International Hope Book Awards (PIHBA) proudly announces the PIHBA International Book Festival, taking place Friday, March 5, 2027, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wyndham Bloomington Mall of America Hotel.
The public festival will bring together award-winning authors, emerging writers, readers, families, booksellers, journalists, and lovers of inspirational literature for an afternoon and evening devoted to discovering books that carry courage, healing, resilience, faith, purpose, truth, and hope.
One Book Festival.
A World of Hope.
Whether you are searching for a Minnesota book fair, a meaningful literary event in the United States, inspirational authors from Canada, or books capable of changing lives, PIHBA welcomes you.
Every Author Who Writes Stories of Hope Is Invited
PIHBA calls on authors whose books encourage, uplift, heal, educate, strengthen faith, preserve meaningful history, confront difficult truths, or turn pain into purpose. If your story carries hope into the life of another person, this is your invitation to enter your book for PIHBA recognition and become part of a growing international author community.
Authors may explore the official award categories, enter the category that best reflects their work, and submit their book directly through the PIHBA website. Award-winning recognition can open the door to increased visibility, interviews, magazine features, professional connections, and participation in PIHBA’s international celebrations.
Authors Can Reserve a Festival Table for $200
Participating authors may reserve their own display and sales table for $200. They can meet readers, sign books, build relationships, share their mission, and sell their work throughout the festival. Every dollar an author earns from personal book sales at their table remains theirs.
- One author display and sales table
- Seven hours of public book discovery and shopping
- Direct conversations with readers and fellow authors
- Book signing and professional networking opportunities
- Authors retain 100% of their own book-sale proceeds
- Direct $200 booking through the secure PIHBA Event Cart
Readers from the United States, Canada, and Beyond Are Welcome
Readers are invited to spend the day browsing inspirational books and meeting the people who wrote them. From memoirs of survival and personal transformation to faith-based books, children’s stories, poetry, fiction with purpose, mental-health encouragement, grief support, and stories of cultural identity, the festival is designed to help every visitor find a book that speaks to the heart.
Public admission is $15. After completing payment through PIHBA, the buyer receives an official Book Festival ticket by email to display on a phone or print for presentation at the door.
A message from the founder
“We want readers to walk into this festival and discover the book that reminds them they are not alone—and we want every author of hope to know that their story belongs here.”— Johanna Vendel, CEO & Founder of PIHBA
Media Are Invited to Cover the Festival
PIHBA welcomes newspapers, television stations, radio programs, magazines, journalists, photographers, videographers, podcasters, bloggers, and digital media teams to attend. The festival offers powerful opportunities for human-interest stories, author interviews, book features, photographs, community coverage, and conversations about how literature can carry hope across borders.
Media representatives should confirm attendance in advance and may request space to conduct interviews with participating authors, award recipients, speakers, and PIHBA leadership. Early contact is encouraged so interview schedules and available media space can be coordinated.
Part of the PIHBA 2027 Gala Weekend
The Book Festival is the centerpiece of a three-day PIHBA celebration taking place March 4–6, 2027. Thursday, March 4, will feature live podcast recordings and professional author photo sessions. Friday, March 5, welcomes the public to the International Book Festival. Saturday, March 6, will include author networking, inspirational speakers, and the PIHBA Gala Awards Presentation that evening.
