The woman behind the mission
Her pain did not end her story.
It revealed her purpose.
Johanna Vendel was born and raised in South Africa and now calls Minnesota, USA, home. Her life has been shaped by profound loss, grief, personal adversity, immigration, faith, and the difficult work of beginning again. She knows what it means to reach the lowest place—and what it means for God to meet you there.
At a time when she no longer wanted to live, God took her hand and reminded her that her story was not over. That sacred turning point became the foundation of everything she would later build. Rather than allowing pain to have the final word, Johanna began transforming it into books, conversations, opportunities, and platforms that help others feel seen.
